Rappelz

This online RPG game is awesome! And the most wonderful part of it is that it's free. Too bad they don't have a Macintosh version for it.

So, RAPPELZ, I consider it a very underrated game, but that's just me. Pets are very important in leveling, especially in dungeons. The game is developed by the Korean company named nFlavor. Although it's free-to-play, to become more than just efficient, you need to acquire special items in the Cash Shop. It's set up in a medieval fantasy world.

It contains three races: Deva- as angels of Light; Asura- angels of Darkness; Gaia- Humans that possess an affinity with nature.

Each race has its own set of jobs:

Warriors: High physical attack or physical defense capabilities.
Magicians: Magical attack or healing/buffing capabilities.
Summoners: Typically focus on strengthening pets through buffing or healing, or with the help of passive skills.

The characters are highly dependent on pets, so, if you want to level up decently, you have got to have a good pet that matches your own race, job, skills. You need a pet to complement you.

The game looks good, the locations are beautiful, and the characters don't look so clownish, like I noticed with other MMORPGS. The fight styles are different, according to each race/job.

My personal favourite is the Asura race, particularly the Warriors. The Assassins and Slayers are much feared in-game, because of their great Damage Dealing power. As a matter of fact, they are THE Damage Dealers of the game. Their stealth and precision adds to their greatness. But, the only weak point of their race is the poor defense abilities. Also, having such strong skills with very high attack, they naturally draw mobs towards them without even attacking them. Therefore, investing in a strong pet that can act as tanker and healer, while boosting their own (character's) skills, is ideal, as they lack in self-defense (the characters).

Tomb Raider Underworld vs Tomb Raider Legend and Anniversary

This game has had a lot of attention, but, in all reality, was it really that great? For someone who has played Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary, I must say that this one did not stack up to its promises. It was too easy and too short. Although, there were a few moments, very annoying ones I must say, that got me stuck...but it had nothing to do with the puzzles themselves, but more like with the controls.

Also, I did not like the fact that she had her home destroyed. What a dissapointment. One of my favourite parts of the Tomb Raider franchise is exploring her immense mansion. Why did they have to destroy it?

Overall, the game was too easy and short, with not much to choose from. Nevertheless, the graphics were gorgeous, along with the locations. She had a wider range of motion, which made it easier to control her. I still think that Legend and Anniversary were better. Legend and Anniversary gave me a more Tomb Raider-like feeling while playing them. Underworld felt like a totally another game. I don't want to know what the next game will feel like, as the developers took it completely out of context. It doesn't look or even sound like Tomb Raider anymore. It's not even the Lara Croft we came to know, any longer. Talking about ruining a good franchise.

They changed her M-shaped lips, her quirky eyebrows, her braid, which, by the way, it always has been her trademark, her super curvy body, her dark hair (now she looks more like a light reddish brown, or even a redhead)....they made her face look average, and that ponytail...so NOT Lara Croft. Anniversary was the closest to what Tomb Raider is. Legend, I actually enjoyed that game very much, despite that they changed the way she looks, the game was really fun to play, and it felt right. Tomb Raider Underworld? Meh...
